BioMark 48.48 Dynamic Arrays

BioMark dynamic arrays deliver a new level of efficiency for TaqMan® PCR assays. Rather than endless liquid transfer steps to set up each and every assay, dynamic arrays have an on-chip network of channels, chambers, and valves that automatically assemble the PCR reactions. The key to this efficiency: A dynamic array requires pipetting steps equal to N (samples) added to M (assays), but it delivers data points equal to N multiplied by M—an exponential reduction in work compared to microwell plates. Current versions of the chip accept 48 samples and 48 primer/probe sets and deliver 2,304 assays.

Following is an overview of the advantages of dynamic arrays:

 Features

 Benefits

 Throughput

High-density reaction chambers.

Exponentially more data per run.

 Workflow Integration

Compatibility with licensed PCR reagents.

Allows use of validated assays already in the laboratory.

Workflow Integration

SBS* standard footprint and inlet spacing.

Allows use of standard liquid transfer equipment.

Multiplexing

Matrix (N x M) architecture.

Highly multiplexed data, without the need for primer/probe multiplexing. Multiplexing made easy!

  Flexibility

SBS* standard inlets on the input frame.

Freedom to input of any set of samples and any set of primers/probes.
