Bringing the density of microarrays to the world of qPCR

Scientists studying gene expression have previously needed to study one or two genes at a time or perform a larger scale study on microarrays. The BioMark™ System enables microarray-like studies using qPCR by enabling the easy setup of more than 9,000 qPCR reactions, using reagents you already have in your lab.

Key benefits include:

  • High throughput and low cost, using only a fraction of the pipette steps necessary for other systems
  • Compatibility with your existing reagents, such as TaqMan® assays
  • Data quality consistent with TaqMan standards

Gene Expression

The BioMark System is ideal for mid- to high-throughput targeted gene expression studies. The BioMark System supports many commercially available TaqMan® gene expression assays, as well as assays detected with EvaGreen® dye, and those designed for miRNA analysis.

The BioMark System -- based on proprietary microfluidic chips called integrated fluidic circuits (IFCs) -- provides high-throughput real-time qPCR, enabling researchers to streamline their experimental workflow, increase throughput, and lower costs. The workflow is simple: samples and assays are placed on the Dynamic Array IFC and mixed using an IFC Controller. The Dynamic Array IFC is then run on the BioMark System for real-time PCR and data collection. Since nanoliter reaction volumes require less reagent than standard plate PCR, the BioMark System saves both time and money for the high-throughput real-time PCR study.

With the BioMark System, one technician can run 30,000 PCR reactions in a single day.
