CYTO 2015 included an unprecedented number of talks and posters featuring mass cytometry as a key component in discovery of new cell types and fresh insights into function.
The impressive lineup reflects recognition by the single-cell community that dissecting the complex heterogeneity of biological systems requires a high-content analysis approach. CyTOF® systems, which can routinely assess 40-plus biomarkers simultaneously, were used to address questions from a diversity of fields, including immunology, cancer biology, infectious disease, virology and translational medicine.

Fluidigm also proudly unveiled Helios™, the most advanced mass cytometry system to date. Helios incorporates advancements in signal detection, sample introduction and user interface to make mass cytometry more sensitive and accessible than ever.
Mass Cytometry Presentations at CYTO 2015
We have compiled a list of abstracts for the lectures and posters that prominently featured use of mass cytometry or analysis of mass cytometry data. We’d like to thank all the researchers who graciously allowed us to share their work.
Congratulations to Lyndsey Muehling and Cara Wogsland
University of Virginia Graduate Research Assistant Lyndsey Muehling and Vanderbilt University graduate student Cara Wogsland won the Outstanding Poster award at CYTO 2015 for their poster, “Use of mass cytometry to identify circulating T cell populations involved in pathogenic responses to human rhinovirus.”
