How are Delta Gene assays wet-lab tested, and how do I interpret the dCt performance report provided with wet-lab tested assays?
Delta Gene assays can be ordered to include wet-lab testing against mouse cDNA (BioChain®, PN C4334566-R) or human cDNA (BioChain, PN C4234565-R). Assay performance is evaluated via serial dilution of the reference sample. dCt values are calculated for all pairwise combinations of assays, and the order and mean slope of dCt versus template concentration is determined. If two assays have equal efficiencies and there is no measurement error, the slope will be zero. Typically, >95% of assays have an average slope in the range of −0.1 to 0.1.
