CD69, also known as early T cell activation antigen and CLEC2C, is a transmembrane protein. It is expressed transiently on activated T cells and B cells, NK cells, and neutrophils. Expression of CD69 during early activation facilitates proliferation and differentiation into effector and memory cells. After cell division, CD69 expression can decrease.
