CD36, also known as GPIIIb or GPIV, is an integral membrane glycoprotein and member of the class B scavenger receptor family of cell surface proteins. It is expressed on the surface of various epithelial and endothelial cells, erythrocytes, platelets, and macrophages/monocytes and on some macrophage-derived dendritic cells.
