Anti-Mouse BATF (D7C5)-154Sm—50 Tests

BATF, also known as B cell-activating transcription factor, is a basic leucine zipper transcription factor that belongs to the AP-1/ATF superfamily. BATF is expressed at low levels in hematopoietic cells and up-regulated in activated T cells in response to a variety of stimuli. BATF functions by forming heterodimers with members of the Jun transcription factor family, which in turn binds to AP-1 DNA sequences. Induction of BATF expression suppresses AP-1 target genes by competing for Fos/Jun binding sequences.
