CD33, also known as Siglec-3, gp67, and p67, is a transmembrane glycoprotein. CD33 is expressed on myeloid progenitors, monocytes, granulocytes, dendritic cells, and mast cells. It binds sialic acids and contains intracellular tyrosine-based inhibition motifs (ITIMs), which are implicated in inhibition of cellular activity.
