Anti-Human pBad [S112] (40A9)-161Dy—50 Tests

BAD, the Bcl-2-associated death promoter protein, is a pro-apoptotic member of the Bcl-2 family involved in initiating apoptosis. After activation, BAD is able to form a heterodimer with anti-apoptotic proteins and prevent them from stopping apoptosis. Phosphorylation of BAD by Akt/protein kinase B inhibits the ability of BAD to form heterodimer with survival protein. Dephosphorylated BAD induces apoptosis by inactivating anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 family members, thereby allowing Bax/Bak-triggered apoptosis.
