Anti-IkBa (Amino-terminal Antigen) (L35A5)-164Dy—50 Tests

IκBα is a member of the family of IκB proteins, part of the NFκB pathway of inflammatory and immune responses. In the absence of NFκB signaling, IκB is responsible for the sequestration of NFκB-p65 in the cytoplasm. Exposure to cytokines such as TNFα induces phosphorylation of IκB at Ser32 and Ser36, which promotes the rapid degradation of IκB and allows translocation of NFκB to the nucleus.
