Anti-Human CD257 (T7-241)-163Dy—100 Tests

The T7-241 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD257, also known as BLyS (B lymphocyte stimulator), BAFF (B cell-activating factor from the TNF family), TALL-1 (TNF- and apoptosis ligand-related leukocyte-expressed ligand 1), THANK (TNF homologue that activates apoptosis, nuclear factor KappaB and c-Jun NH2-terminal kinase) and zTNF4. BLyS, a member of the TNF family, is a type II membrane protein that exists in both membrane-bound and soluble forms. It has a molecular weight of approximately 31 kDa. IFN-gamma regulates expression of membrane-bound CD257 on monocyte lineage. CD257 acts as a potent B cell growth factor and co-stimulator of Ig production. Transgenic mice with depleted CD257 develop severe B cell hyperplasia and autoimmune lupus-like disease characterized by the presence of autoantibodies against nuclear antigens. CD257 has been implicated in autoimmune disease based on animal model studies. BCMA, TACI, and BR3 have been identified as CD257 receptors.
