Anti-Human CD99 (HCD99)-170Er—100 Tests

CD99, also known as CD99 antigen, E2 antigen, MIC2, and T cell surface glycoprotein E2, is a type I single-chain transmembrane protein with a molecular weight of 32 kDa. CD99 has a diverse expression pattern on leukocytes. It is expressed on thymocytes, T cells, T cell leukemias, and lymphomas and is absent on fetal B cells, some B cell lines, eosinophils, and granulocytes. CD99 is differentially expressed during T- and B-lymphoid and granulocytic development, with higher expression during early hematopoietic stages. Mature granulocytes have limited expression of CD99. CD99 has been reported to be involved in T cell and hematopoietic cell adhesion pathways. CD99 has also been implicated in caspase-independent death pathway in T cells.
